I didn't want to

Friday evening I stumbled into Manhunt to help Nish identify someone. I didn't end up seeing the profile, but we think we figure out who the guy was. Meanwhile, I got like 8 guys to express interest. Not that anything has come of any of those, yet. But exchanging email addresses or phone numbers is a huge step forward from being ignored completely.

That night I worked. It was a slow night. The hot dog cart was parked in front of our door this weekend, and the (bi) vendor gave me a free sausage and peppers. He is rather cute, and has been flirty with me, so who knows. He works weekends, though! It may have been a slow night, but they were good tippers! I only checked 9 coats all night, but made $18 in tips! Poor Danielle was jealous - she's been making in the 3 or 4 range since spring arrived.

Leo was there. I said hello when he came in, but that was it. There was supposed to be a manhunt prospect showing up, too, but he never came in.

Saturday morning I got up at 5:50am to go pick up Daemian and drop him off at the train station in Framingham so he could go to work. I get up, get ready, head downstairs. See there was a message from him. Right after I went to bed, and about 20 minutes after he got home, he called to tell me that he screwed up, and he needed to be in Framingham at 8am, not 7. Bitch. Well, I just stayed up. No point going to all the trouble of undoing everything, for like 30 minutes more sleep, then re-do the morning wake-up. I did take a 4 hour snooze when I got back home, though.

That night I met up with Eddie and Jody for dinner at the chinese buffet (Not Pings). Daemian was supposed to come along, and treat, but he not only has no money at the moment (waiting for the check), but was still at work. The three of us went anyway because on Tuesday Jody leaves for Poland for the entire summer, so it was his last chance at Imperial. On my way home from dinner, Daemian called to ask me to pick him up from the train station all the way the hell out in Framingham again. I said I didn't really want to. Then I get a call from Eddie saying I had to either pick D up, or cover his shift for him. I said I didn't really "have to" do either, and he admitted no, I didn't, but I am "such a nice person" that I would. I continued to say I didn't want to do either, but for E to have D call me back.

Five minutes later, E calls back instead to say that D missed the Framingham train anyway, so would be on the late train. He needed me to cover until like 12:15 when D would be back. Since nobody really starts dancing until midnight anyway, I figured, ehhh what the hell. A part of me did figure it would (of course) run later than anticipated. From about 12:30 until 1:15 I was searching the horizon for someone to take over his shift at the club. I wanted to go dance with the brazilians - they had brought a hot new one along this night. When D finally did show up, I was stuck at the front desk covering while Danielle was off taking photos of the party. Yea - we were having our Hard Candy party to celebrate Madonna's new album. We have a cop that comes in Saturdays to keep an eye on things. When he showed up, and saw the balloons everywhere, he asked what the party was for. I said we were celebrating Madonna's new album. He stopped, looked at me, and asked, "REALLY?" I laughed, and said, "Well, it IS a gay club!" He was very cute, but very straight. Talked with me a little, though.

So, Eddie decided there was no point having D sign in for like 45 minutes, so I just stayed on the shift. Dammit. Turns out the hot new brazilian found a chick, and was all over her all night. Straight friend, or bi, I haven't found out yet. Regardless, I ended up not meeting anyone - again.

Sunday I met up with Ronny at IHOP again. He wanted to banana-stuffed french toast, but they ran out. We had omelettes. Then went to Newbury Comics, and I bought a couple used Blurays, to expand my collection. Came back and watched Eragon. I took Ronny home, and ended up going over to Russell's house. Had a nice visit with him, talked about his new GF, and the raging alcoholic ex. He's happy, though I think he's aware she is too young and energetic to stick with him for long.

Came home and made my vinaigrette for Jody's farewell party on Monday night. I was told to bring cucumber salad. I also found a "lazy trailer trash" dessert to bring. Mash up a store-bought pecan pie, and stir in a tub of coolwhip. I couldn't find pecan, so I used pumpkin. Should be good!

As if.. the first train from Worcester doesn't leave til after 9. So we had a chat.
